PIA Issues Show Cause Notice to Missing Air Hostess

The administration of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has issued a show cause notice to the flight attendant who went missing in Paris last week.

A spokesperson of the national airline said that the department served the notice to the air hostess after she disappeared from work without notifying higher officials.

The national flag carrier intends to take further action against the employee in case of continued disappearance.

Background

It should be mentioned here that last week, a PIA air hostess identified as Shazia went missing from her hotel in Paris. She had traveled to France with PIA’s flight PK-734 from Lahore last Tuesday. The airline’s Station Manager lodged a case of her missing in Paris.

While PIA’s version tells a whole other story, sources familiar with the matter say that she had left her resignation letter in her hotel room – PIA denies any such reports.

“The authorities have launched an investigation into the matter,” the spokesperson continued.

These incidents have now become a regular occurrence. Last year in September, a PIA flight attendant Fareeha went missing in Toronto, Canada.

According to PIA’s official statement, she traveled to Canada on PK-789 from Lahore, but never boarded the return flight.
