Xiaomi Launches New and Affordable Mi TVs

The new and improved Xiaomi Mi TV is finally here. The smart TV was unveiled in China just today and it comes in 3 different models – 32-inch, 43-inch, 55-inch, and 65-inch.

The new Mi TV comes with an improved design, featuring extremely narrow bezels around the corners and a super thin body. The remote control is Bluetooth powered and also has a voice command feature.

Display and Internals

The 3 models also come with different internal specifications. The 32-inch variant has 1GB of RAM with 4GB of storage, the 43-inch model packs 1GB of RAM along with 8GB storage whereas the 55-inch and 65-inch models are powered with 2 gigs of RAM and 8GB worth of storage.

The different variants of the TV also support different screen resolutions. The 32 inch TV brings you HD resolution meanwhile the 43-inch one supports full HD resolution and the 55-inch and 65-inch models both support 4K resolution. All of the models are powered by a quad-core 64-bit processor.

The new Mi TV has a 60 Hz refresh rate and a 178-degree viewing angle. It has support for WiFi, Bluetooth, Infrared and stereo speakers with DTS HD Audio decoding.

OS and Pricing

The Mi TV is powered by PatchWall, an operating system based on Android, designed specifically for Mi TVs. This UI features a recommendation system which suggests you movies, TV shows and music based on your activity on the TV.

The 32-inch model has a market price of $164 while the 43-inch model will cost you $298. As for the 55 and 65-inch models, they are priced at $447 and $596 respectively. Mi TV can be pre-ordered in China today. Hopefully, we’ll see the TV make it to Pakistan as well.
