Following other auto manufacturers, now Atlas Honda has raised the prices of its bikes and this is not the first time it has done it this year.
Atlas Honda has raised the prices by PKR 400 to PKR 2,000. The new prices vary from model to model with the Honda CD-70, CD Dream and Pridor seeing a price hike of up by PKR 400. Their new prices are:
In the case Honda CG125, CG125S, CG125S Special Edition, CB125F and CB125F Special Edition, the prices were increased by PKR 1,500. The new prices are:
Meanwhile, there has been an increase of PKR 2,000 in the price of Honda CB150F, which sees its new price at PKR 193,900.
Earlier in March, the prices of Atlas Honda models had been increased by PKR 2,000 and one of the major reasons for this increase was the devaluation of the Pakistani Rupee against the US Dollar.
There has been a 6% fall in bike sales according to PAMA’s report in March during the ongoing fiscal year’s first nine months. Honda’s sales went from 838,395 units to 823,918 units in this time period as compared to the same period last year. Atlas Honda motorcycles witnessed a fall of 5% in sales during March 2019 as compared to February 2019 and 17% when compared to March 2018.
On the other hand, Yamaha and Suzuki saw their sales increase to 18,193 and 17,873 units as compared to 15,083 and 15,971 units in 9MFY18, respectively.
