World Cup Preparation Begins as Pakistan Take on England at The Oval

Pakistan are all set to face England in the first one-day international of a five-match bilateral series at The Oval on Wednesday.

The last time the men in Green played at The Oval was when they outclassed India in the final of the ICC Champions Trophy match in 2017. With memories of that, Pakistan will be looking to improve on its earlier performance against England in the one-off T20I match which they lost by 6 wickets.

It cannot be stressed enough as to how important it is for Pakistan to win this series. With World Cup around the corner, Pakistan would want to start the competition on a high. In addition to that, the Sarfaraz-led team has lost 12 of their last 23 matches including the 5-0 whitewash against Australia in the UAE.
