It was agreed in the meeting that the Ministry of IT will jointly work with Huawei for the enhancement of the national ICT plan and e-governance initiatives to improve governance and public service delivery in Pakistan.
Huawei is the leading telecom provider in the world and also a leading ICT infrastructure development company in Pakistan.
The meeting was also attended by the senior officers of the Ministry of IT.
Why not work with LUMS and NUST to develop e governance and ICT for the govt. The students have the smarts to develop this infrastructure. The incubators are there. All they need is money. Must you hand everything to foreigners?
Huawei is a company specializes with Telecom equipment and has no strong footprint or portfolio of e-governance platform and services. The Minister and Secretary should bring the local academia and industry to put together a policy frame work – why a foreign company be used for putting e-governance in pakistan ?
this does not make sense at all – what huawei has to do with e-governance ?
