Punjab Government Increases Metro Bus Fares by Rs. 10

Punjab Government has decided to increase Metro Bus fare by Rs. 10 per ticket.

The decision was made during the provincial cabinet’s meeting on Tuesday, with Punjab Transport Secretary Asad Gilani issuing a notification in this regard.

The 50 percent increase in fare would be applicable on Metro bus services in the twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad as well as Lahore.

You’ll now be paying Rs. 30 instead of Rs. 20 to travel from Pakistan Secretariat, Islamabad to Saddar, Rawalpindi.

The residents of Lahore will pay the same amount for traveling between Gajwamata Chowk and Shahdara.

Rawalpindi Metro administration has not implemented the increase yet. “We will increase the fare only after receiving a formal notification,” it said.
