Realme XT Launched With 64MP Quad Cameras & New Rear Design

Realme, after a long teaser campaign, has finally launched its first 64 MP camera smartphone under the moniker Realme XT.

Apart from sporting high imaging capabilities, according to the company’s product manager Nidhi Bhatia, the smartphone is the first phone from the company to feature a 3D design with hyperbola light effect.

Design and Display

The smartphone, as mentioned already, on top of Realme’s traditional design features a curved 3D rear glass panel with a hyperbolic light design. The 3D glass casing is basically Gorilla Glass 5.

The quad-sensor rear camera is vertically aligned on the top left and the fingerprint sensor is housed inside the display. It will be available in Pearl White and Pearl Blue colors.

 

On the front, Realme XT features a 6.4-inch waterdrop notch AMOLED display with 1080p resolution, 402 ppi pixel density and 84.7 percent screen to body ratio.

Internal and Storage

Talking about the internals, the smartphone is powered by Snapdragon 712 SoC paired with 4 GB, 6 GB or 8 GB RAM and 64 GB or 128 GB built-in storage. The built-in storage, like all Realme smartphones, is expandable via a dedicated memory card slot.

Software-wise, Realme XT runs on Android 9.0 Pie topped with ColorOS 6. The company has promised an upgrade to Android 10 in the first quarter of next year.

Cameras

Moving on to the best feature of the Realme XT, its quad-sensor rear camera. The camera features a 64 MP Samsung GW1 sensor sitting behind an f/1.8 lens. The main sensor is joined by an 8 MP ultra-wide sensor, 2 MP depth sensor, and 2 MP macro snapper. The 64 MP camera sensor comes with 4-in-1 pixel binning abilities and can capture 9216×6912 pixels stills.

 

The selfie camera, on the other hand, is a modest 16 MP lone shooter.

Battery and Pricing

Realme XT packs a 4000 mAh battery topped with 20W VOOC charging, hence, the battery takes a total of 80 minutes to charge.

• 8GB/128GB ~ €240

The smartphones will go on sale on 16^th September.
