Jeddah Bound PIA Flight Narrowly Escapes Disaster

Whenever we hear something about a PIA plane incident we’re used to expecting bad news, however, it’s the opposite this time. The plane narrowly escaped and the pilot managed to save hundreds of people on board the plane.

The incident occurred at Allama Iqbal International Airport in Lahore on Sunday, with the plane’s engine catching fire soon after departing from the airport.

According to the available information, the captain made an emergency landing and all 200 people are safe. The plane was en route to Jeddah from Lahore. PIA’s spokesperson said that the captain successfully managed to control the aircraft and avoided casualties.

 

In a similar accident earlier, another PIA aircraft escaped disaster at Gilgit. The aircraft skidded off the runway while landing at Gilgit airport however, the plane didn’t hit anything or catch fire.

Thankfully, all the passengers were evacuated safely.
