It’s only been a few days since the release of Samsung Galaxy Note 10. If the recent rumors are true, Samsung fans are in for a nasty surprise. The new reports claim that there will be no sequel to the Galaxy Note 10 or the S10.
Galaxy One
Evan Blass, a reputable leakster on Twitter broke the news that a “solid source” has suggested that Samsung is considering merging Galaxy S and Note series, eliminating both the names in the process. The two will be merged to create a single S-pen touting flagship, which will be called the Galaxy One.
This move makes a lot of sense, especially since the S and Note lineups offer a nearly identical experience with the only significant difference being the S pen. Evan Blass explains that these two smartphone series will be combined “into a single first-half handset, essentially an S-series with an S-Pen.”
Some reports claim that Samsung could restructure the two series like what Apple does with its iPhones – releasing the Galaxy One alongside a Galaxy One Plus, with the latter equipped with an S pen and premium features.
We recommend taking these rumors with a pinch of salt as this is just speculation and Samsung is only “discussing” the idea at the moment. However, it is highly unlikely that such a merger is going to happen as it might lower Samsung’s flagship sales.
