An earthquake was felt in Azad Kashmir and parts of upper and central Punjab today.
Residents of Mirpur Azad Kashmir, Jhelum, Sheikhupura, Lahore and Zafarwal were affected by the earthquake.
The epicenter was close to New Mirpur city in Azad Kashmir and its magnitude was recorded 4.7 on the Richter scale. At least 32 injuries have been reported so far, according to Geo News.
It should be mentioned here that the death toll from the 5.8 magnitude earthquake that hit Azad Kashmir on Tuesday has risen to 38 this morning, while over 500 people are injured.
Hundreds of houses have been destroyed, which has forced people to live on the streets. The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) with Pakistan Army and the government of Azad Kashmir is working to provide, shelter, food, and other facilities to the affectees.
