AirSial to Start Domestic Flights from Next Year

AirSial has announced plans to commence its domestic flight operations on a commercial basis from next year in May, an official told ProPakistani.

The airline’s management has ordered to acquire three A-320 aircraft on a dry lease which are going to arrive in the upcoming months, whereas the required staff has already been hired for the purpose of training and capacity building.

The flight operations will be based on Karachi mainly and will connect it with the major airports of the country such as Sialkot, Islamabad, Lahore and provincial capitals including Quetta and Peshawar.

The flights will be operated on a weekly basis from the respective stations and then the frequency of flights will be enhanced as per demand on the particular route.

Abrar Gulzar Hussain, Manager Operations Control at AirSial, said that the private national airline has acquired the required permission from the aviation regulator to operate commercial flights on domestic routes.

The airline will commence its international flight operations one year after launching domestic operations, which is its actual plan to expand its wings to the international destinations and benefit the local economy particularly based in the city of Sialkot, he added.

The preferred choice for international flight operations is the Middle East whereas the rest of the world will be explored later on in line with the demand of the businesses.

AirSial official claims that the airline will give tough competition to various domestic carriers in terms of airfares and quality of services to the passengers.

The airline is backed by the airport with advanced facilities and runway in Sialkot. The airport and airline are owned by the businessmen and traders of Sialkot who are setting a new precedent to develop themselves single-handedly, without relying on the government for achieving their goals and successes.
