Fawad Alam Likely to be Called Up for Series Against Australia: Reports

After years of being treated unfairly and not being selected for the national team, Fawad Alam might finally get another chance to prove his worth in the upcoming series against Australia.

According to reports, the recently appointed Misbah-ul-Haq has inquired about Alam’s fitness and form from Sindh’s team head coach Azam Khan.

The reports further suggest that Misbah is keen on giving at least one chance to every former player to revive themselves, just like how he has already done with Iftikhar Ahmed, Ahmed Shehzad, and Umar Akmal.

The management is yet to make a decision regarding this matter hence nothing is certain.

Alam, who is representing Sindh in the on-going Quaid-e-Azam Trophy, has scored 160 runs in the four matches he has featured in at an average of 40 and with a century to his name.

Fawad played his last international match in 2015 and since then, he has been constantly neglected for unknown reasons.

The series against Australia will commence from 21st November and Pakistan will play in a two-Test match series in Australia.
