Civil Aviation Adds New Sector to Lahore’s Airspace

In a bid to boost revenue for the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), the authority has added a new sector to Pakistan’s airspace.

As per the information available, this is a crucial step that the CAA has taken to increase air traffic in the Lahore region, as it will help boost the authority’s revenue.

According to high-ranking officials, aircraft originating from multiple countries will pass through the Lahore region including Europe, Turkmenistan, Turkey, China, and Uzbekistan. This new sector in the region will help broaden the air traffic controller setup and enhance the safety of the aircraft. Officials added that on a daily basis, over 200 aircraft pass through the Lahore region.
