PIA Will Start Operating 13 Additional Flights on International Routes This Month

On Friday, a spokesperson for Pakistan International Airlines said that the national carrier will start operating new 13 flights on international routes this month.

The official added that two mores flight routes will be functional from Karachi to Toronto and will bring the airline’s total number of flights to Canada to five.

An additional seven flights will be added to the Jeddah route, bringing the total number of flights to 42 per week from Pakistan to Jeddah. The spokesperson said that from the 28th of October, there will be two weekly flights between Quetta and Jeddah, while there will be two flights per week from Multan to Riyadh and Dubai.

He added that from 14th October, the airline will restart flights from Islamabad to Kuala Lumpur. The company is also aiming to increase the number of flights from Islamabad to Birmingham.

These new flights will help boost the airline’s revenue as they’re quite popular, said the spokesperson.

  • We only heard news like closure of routes for PIA during last government. All of those cancelled routes were transferred to Air Blue (Shahid Khaqan Abbasi)

  • Previous govts have deliberately put pia on back foot while their own airlines prosper. Plans only work when people do their job. InshAllah there seems to be a positive change and hopefully we will see our national carrier once again regaining its lost glory.

  • I think before they think of expanding they need to improve the service, six and half hours delay from Manchester, no notification, This happened to me on Saturday, and the same thing happened last October…

  • We Pakistani people living in new Jersey and new York anxiously waiting when PIA gonna restart operation from JFK. We are giving business to arab country airline instead of own because we don’t have a choice

  • what about EU,
we have lot of pakis there…

or they want us to use only UAE and Qatar airlies :(
