Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Administration has shortlisted two online logistics companies to work in collaboration with the city government. Deputy Commissioner Islamabad, Hamza Shafqaat, announced this on his official Facebook page.
Shafqaat, who is quite active on social media and strives to resolve any issue related to the federal capital, said the administration has now brought hassle-free grocery shopping for Islambadians.
ICT Administration through Market Committee, ICT, has shortlisted two delivery providers, i.e. Fowrry and Sabzi Mandi Online, after due process.
He said that these providers will work in collaboration with the city administration to provide essential commodities (fruits and vegetables) on government notified rates at the citizens’ doorstep.
Shafqaat said that the people can confirm the exact prices of the commodities from the recently launched Durust Daam application.
He also shared links of the aforementioned service providers mentioning that the products can be ordered online, and they will be delivered at your doorstep.
While the initiative is commendable and it will make grocery shopping easier for the people of Islamabad, there are, however, some issues that require urgent redressal.
