Internet Services Suspended in Specific Areas Around Islamabad

JUI-F’s Azadi March is set to reach the capital today. The arrangements for the sit-in have been made near Peshawar Mor where protestors from different provinces and the twin cities will converge.

According to the reports, internet services have been suspended in nearby areas in sectors G-8, G-9, I-8 and I-9. In addition, mobile services are also expected to go offline starting today due to security reasons.

It is pertinent to mention that the suspension of internet services in the vicinity of the sit-in has nothing to do with the submarine cable fault which resulted in a bad internet connection in the last couple of days.

According to PTCL’s recent statement, the fault has been rectified and the users have also reported that the internet services have been restored in all parts of the country.
