Xiaomi’s first wireless mouse was launched in 2017 and now, after almost two years, the company has launched its successor with a 10-meter range, slightly upgraded internals and a lower price tag.
Design and Construction
Unsurprisingly, the mouse features a minimalistic design and has a symmetrical shape that lends itself well to both left-handed and right-handed users.
The mouse comes with an aluminum roller. The rest of the surface is sandblasted and anodized to give it a subtle texture and durability. It is available in black and white colors.
Internals
Just likes its predecessor, Xiaomi Mouse 2 also comes with 2.4 GHz wireless frequency. According to the manufacturer, the mouse has high-speed transmission and precise positioning accuracy thanks to the 1000 dpi photoelectric sensor.
The back-function key is positioned at the side for easy access. As mentioned earlier, it has an operating range of 10 meters and is compatible with Chrome OS, Windows 7, 8, 10, as well as Mac OSX 10.8 and above.
Battery and Pricing
The mouse comes with an AA 1.5V Alkaline removable battery that can last for 12 months on one go according to Xiaomi.
The mouse is available for purchase in China for $8.
