Huawei Teases Nova 6 5G With a Punch-Hole Display and 60MP Quad Cameras

Huawei has been gearing up to launch Nova 6 5G for months now. The company, however, kept its silence about the upcoming mid-ranger until now.

Initially, Huawei, via its official Weibo account shared a video advertisement for the smartphone. The video reveals that Huawei Nova 6 will feature a dual-sensor front camera housed in a punch hole notch at the top left.

We saw a similar notch on Samsung Galaxy S10+, but it was on the right side. The dual-sensor selfie camera on Nova 6 will allow users to take super wide selfies with a maximum of 105 degrees FOV.

The video also shows that the fingerprint sensor will be mounted on the side below the volume rocker.

Soon after the teaser was uploaded, Huawei confirmed that it will launch the much-anticipated Huawei Nova 6 5G on 5th December in Wuhan. One of the posters also reveals that the smartphone will be selfie centered.

Previous Weibo leaks outline that the smartphone will be built around a 6.44-inch 1080p IPS LCD and will be powered by a Kirin 990 chipset with an embedded 5G modem. The battery is expected to be 4,000mAh battery with 40W charging.

The dual-sensor from the camera is expected to feature a 32 MP main sensor joined by a 12 MP secondary sensor. The phone will most probably come with a quad-sensor rear camera with 60MP + 16MP + 2MP + 2MP arrangement.
