Chief Minister Balochistan, Jam Kamal Khan Aliyani, has laid the foundation stone of Siddique Baloch Media Academy in Quetta. The academy is named after the late veteran journalist Lala Siddiq Baloch.
The CM had promised the construction of the academy in the last financial budget.
“Government will build the Siddique Baloch Academy as Journalistic Newseum where portraits of distinguished journalists will be placed.”
Addressing the ceremony at the Quetta Press Club, CM Kamal said that the move was aimed to foster journalistic and educational activities in the province.
The establishment of the academy will help bring forward the journalistic talent of the province. He said.
“We hope that the Siddique Baloch Academy will help foster the knowledge and research-based skills in our students.”
CM Balochistan maintained that he wanted to bring the people of the province into the mainstream and that the media academy will prove to be a stepping stone.
He said that the people of Balochistan will take the decisions of the province and hoped that all political parties will support his government for the development of the province.
He assured that his government will not make any deals for personal gains and that he will not be part of any ‘power politics’ in the center.
“We will not compromise the interest of Baloch people for our personal gains.”
Earlier this month, CM Kamal had said that the speedy completion of development projects was their top priority.
