Motorola One Hyper Launched With 64MP Camera & Hyper-Fast Charging

Motorola has revealed a new device that brings more than what you’d expect from a mid-range smartphone. Although it is only powered by the Snapdragon 675 SoC, it brings 44W fast charging, a power rating that is rare in even the latest flagship devices.

It is also the first time Motorola has brought in a pop-up selfie camera and has achieved a full-screen display.

Design and Display

The Motorola One Hyper flaunts a 6.5-inch, 1080p, IPS LCD display that has minimal bezels, no notch, and no punch-hole for the front camera. The result is a large and clean display that has an incredible screen to body ratio.

At the back, there is a dual primary camera setup housed in a strip accent design beside an LED flash. The fingerprint reader acts as an LED notification light as well.

Internals and Storage

Despite having 128 GB of storage space available, there is also the option to expand it via a micro SD card. The storage is coupled with a RAM capacity of 4GB.

The device is powered by the mid-range Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 SoC that houses a 2.0GHz Octa-core processor and Adreno 612 GPU.

Cameras

The camera department is yet another major highlight on this device.

This is the first time a Motorola device is featuring a 64 megapixel camera. The 64MP main camera is accompanied by a secondary 8-megapixel lens that can capture ultrawide angle photos at 118 degrees. These cameras can capture 1080p videos at 60fps and 4k videos at 30fps.

The motorized pop-up selfie camera is a 32-megapixel wide-angle lens that can snap HDR photos and record clips in FHD resolution.

Battery and Pricing

The device gets its name from the 44W “hyper” charging that can bring 12 hours of battery life to the phone in just under 10 minutes.  However, the box only comes with a 15W charger that can top up the 3500 mAh battery through the USB Type C port.

The Motorola One Hyper has launched in the US and Brazil for $400.
