Times Higher Education (THE) has included 12 Pakistani universities in its Top 500 Emerging Economies University Rankings for 2020.
Only one institution from Pakistan has made it to the Top 100, as Times has placed Quaid-e-Azam University at 85th place. It includes institutions from countries that the London Stock Exchange categorizes as advanced emerging, secondary emerging, or frontier.

Besides, Government College University Lahore and the University of Sargodha have made their way in the list of Top 500-1000 Emerging Economies University Rankings.
