Zahida Awan has been promoted as the Chief Business Development Officer by the management of Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL).
She has been serving as the Executive Vice President Legal Affairs for more than 10 years prior to becoming a part of C-level management. She retains the charge of the legal affairs department of the company along with her new assignment.
Ms. Awan is also one of the trustees of Pakistan Telecommunication Employee Trust appointed by the management of PTCL.
She has previously served K Electric as Deputy Chief Legal Officer and Head of Legal Affairs at Tuwairqi Steel Mills Limited.

After the share transfer of PTCL with Etisalat with listing at PSX please do consider the Upgradation of Copper wire in compliance to UN/ITU SDG to upgrade/support the PON/FTTH ITU standard. Karachi is the least considered for network upgradation in Pakistan to PON/FTTH. The honorable PTA, USF subsidised network has reached by the USF to comply to ITU standards.
