Today, Oppo has silently added another smartphone to its A-Series under the moniker Oppo A12. This new A-series smartphone comes with entry-level specifications and has been currently launched in the Indonesian market exclusively.
The smartphone features a stylish looking textured polycarbonate body with a dual-sensor camera system horizontally aligned at the back. The Oppo A12 will be available in black and blue colors. Moreover, the fingerprint sensor is mounted on the back.
It is built around a 6.22-inch LCD with a waterdrop notch, 1520 x 720 pixels resolution, Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection, and 19.5:9 aspect ratio.
Under the hood, the smartphone is equipped with Helio P35 chipset accompanied by 3 GB or 4 GB RAM and 32 GB and 64 GB onboard storage.
Software-wise, it runs on ColorOS 6.1.2 based on Android 9 Pie. The company has not promised software updates anytime soon.
At the back, the Oppo A12 is equipped with a dual-sensor camera system featuring a 13 MP main sensor and a 2 MP depth sensor. For selfies, it comes with a disappointing 5 MP single sensor.
This entry-level smartphone packs a 4,230 mAh battery that charges over the dated micro USB connector.
It is currently available for sale in Indonesia and retails at $160 for the maxed-out variant.
