According to media reports, Motorway Police have set up the first-ever police training course online amidst the coronavirus pandemic on Wednesday.
As per a spokesperson, Dr. Kaleem Imam, Inspector General (IG) of National Highways and Motorway Police (NHMP) inaugurated the online classes of the 10 Probation Course for patrolling officers.
He said,
The online course was launched as the training activities at the Police Training College remains suspended due to coronavirus pandemic.
The spokesperson added that for now the theoretical part of all the courses will be covered online and the practical work will be taught when the situation becomes normal.
It is important to point out that multiple cops have been infected by the virus in the country as they carry out their duties during the pandemic including monitoring the lockdown, staying vigilant at isolation centers, and their regular duties.
