Karachi is expected to receive light rain and drizzle over the next three days as moisture-laden winds from the Arabian Sea continue to influence weather conditions across the region, the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) said on Monday.
According to the PMD’s Early Warning Centre, the city is also likely to experience stronger-than-normal winds from Monday through Wednesday.
The Met Office said Karachi’s minimum temperature will remain between 28°C and 30°C, while daytime temperatures are expected to range from 33°C to 35°C. Morning humidity is forecast at 70% to 80%, easing to between 55% and 65% by the evening.
The PMD said moist currents from the Arabian Sea are affecting upper and central parts of the country, while a westerly weather system is impacting northern regions.
Across Sindh, hot and humid weather is expected to persist. However, dust storms and thunderstorms accompanied by rain are likely in Dadu, Qambar Shahdadkot, Jacobabad, Larkana, Shikarpur, Kashmore, Sukkur, Ghotki, Khairpur, Naushahro Feroze, Shaheed Benazirabad and Sanghar.
Coastal areas of Sindh, including Karachi, are expected to remain partly cloudy, with occasional strong winds and isolated spells of light rain or drizzle.
