Fawad Chaudhry Predicts Eid Ul Adha & Zil-Haj Moon Sighting

Federal Minister for Science and Technology Fawad Hussain Chaudhry has predicted that Eid-ul-Adha will fall on Friday, July 31. He announced this on his Twitter handle today.

Fawad said that the prediction is based upon the ministry of science’s five-year lunar calendar.

As per calendar of @MinistryofST Eid-Al-Adha shall be celebrated on Friday,31st July 2020. On 21st July ZeAlHaj moon shall be visible over Karachi and it’s peripheral areas, “Ruet” App may also be used to ascertain the exact location of the moon.

Fawad also noted that the Zilhajjah moon will be sighted on July 21, and will be visible over Karachi and its adjoining areas.

The minister has been correctly predicting moon sighting dates for both Eids and other important Islamic months based on the calendar mentioned above.

He had announced the Eid ul Fitr date more than a month ago, and, after all the buzz, the moon was sighted on the same night as he predicted.
