Moto G Now Comes With 5G, 90Hz Display & a Huge Battery

Motorola’s most popular Moto G lineup has significantly evolved over the years to keep up with the latest trends in the smartphone market. Now, the latest iteration, the Moto G 5G Plus, not only brings 5G to the table, but a 90Hz display, a massive 5,000 mAh battery, and fast charging as well.

Design and Display

The 6.7-inch FHD+ display has a 90hz refresh rate and an odd-looking dual camera setup. Instead of a single pill-shaped cutout, the two front cameras have separate punch holes each, the size of the holes is relatively small. The fingerprint sensor is located on the side on top of the power button.

The diamond-patterned back is water repellant and has a quad-camera setup in a square-shaped module.

Internals and Storage

The gaming-oriented Snapdragon 765G powers the device alongside up to 128GB UFS 2.1 and 6GB RAM. The storage is further expandable through a microSD card. The processor paired with the chipset is a 2.4GHz Octa-core CPU with the Adreno 620 GPU.

You get the pure Google OS experience with stock Android 10 out of the box with a handful of Motorola apps and modifications.

Cameras

The square-shaped camera setup on the rear includes a 48MP main sensor, a 5MP macro camera, an 8MP ultrawide lens, and a 2MP depth sensor. This camera can record 4K videos and comes with a plethora of features such as best shot, manual mode, live filters, and Google Lens integration.

The 16MP selfie camera is paired with an additional 8MP ultra wide-angle lens.

Battery and Pricing

The 5,000 mAh battery can last up to 2 days and supports fast charging as well thanks to the 20W TurboPower fast charging via a USB Type-C port.

The Moto G 5G Plus is set to go on sale in Europe today for €350.
