The Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute of Engineering Sciences and Technology (commonly referred as GIKI), is a private research university located in Topi, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in Pakistan. The university was established in 1993 by former President of Pakistan, Ghulam Ishaq Khan. It is one of the top institutes in the country as ranked by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan.
Over the years, the institute has produced bright, innovative graduates employed at some of the most respectable firms all over the world. the institute has consistently attracted the country’s most influential scientists such as Abdul Qadeer Khan, Asghar Qadir, and Shaukat Hameed Khan, who played a role in elevating the institute as one of world’s finest science and engineering college. It is autonomous and independently chartered and is funded by the private sector.
GIKI offers programs and courses in various disciples such as Engineering, Management Sciences and Humanities.
As mentioned before, GIKI offers a wide array of higher education programs. Each program has its own set of eligibility criteria for admission. Following are some of the important details that you must bear in mind, with respect to the different programs:

Note: Applicants with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry background can apply for all programs including Computer Science or Computer Engineering II. Applicants with Computer Science/Computer Studies background instead of Chemistry at their HSSC or A-Level can only apply for Computer Engineering or Computer Science.

Financial Aid/Loan:
Candidates can apply online for Punjab Educational Endowment Fund (PEEF) , Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, FATA scholarships and Financial Assistance (Interest Free Loan). Remaining scholarships can be applied for after joining the Institute.
Continuation of scholarships is dependent on satisfactory academic performance of the concerned student and the policies of the donor agencies.
The Institute provides financial assistance in form of interest-free loans subject to nominal administrative charges. It is available to a limited number of students on need-cum-merit basis as determined by the Institute. The assistance may be for a period of one to four years of studies. Applicants seeking such assistance may apply on the prescribed form, through an additional payment of Rs. 500/.
Those who apply for financial assistance will be informed at the time of admission whether or not their request has been acceded to. An applicant who has secured admission on basis of merit but whose request for financial assistance is not approved would be admitted on payment of full tuition fee.

Financial Aid & Scholarships:
Various scholarships and graduate assistantships are available in all disciplines on merit, based on performance in the admission test and interviews conducted by the Institute. These scholarships/assistantships include full tuition fee waiver, free hostel accommodation and monthly stipend. The students selected under these schemes have to pay only the admission fee (non refundable) and refundable security deposit at the time of admission.
