Earlier this year, Huawei launched one of its cheapest 5G compatible smartphones, the Huawei Enjoy 20 Pro. A few months after its release, the company has added two new handsets to the lineup, namely Huawei Enjoy 20 and Huawei 20 Plus. Surprisingly, all the smartphones in the series have a completely different design profile but are similar internally.
Design and Display
The Huawei Enjoy 20 comes with a Huawei Nova 7 inspired design and a 6.6-inch IPS LCD panel featuring 720p resolution, standard 60Hz refresh rate, waterdrop notch, and 20:9 aspect ratio.
The Plus model, on the other hand, takes on the Huawei Mate 30. It is built around a tall 20:9 uninterrupted 6.63-inch IPS LCD panel with 1080 x 2400 pixels resolution. The selfie camera sits on a pop-up mechanism.
Internals and Storage
Both smartphones are powered by Dimensity 720 chipset and come with support for 5G. The vanilla model is equipped with 4 GB or 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB expandable storage. The plus model features extra RAM capacity by bundling the SoC with 6 GB or 8 GB of LPDDR4X RAM. Onboard storage specs are similar to Enjoy 20.
Enjoy 20 and Enjoy 20 Plus boot on EMUI 10.1 flavored Android 10 without Google Play Services.
Cameras
The Enjoy 20 Plus has a triple sensor rear camera setup featuring a 13MP primary camera with f/1.8 aperture accompanied by a 5MP ultrawide-angle snapper with f/2.2 aperture and a 2 MP macro camera with 4cm fixed focus distance. For selfies, it comes with an 8MP f/2.0 camera.
The maxed-out Huawei Enjoy 20 Plus boasts a triple sensor cam led by a 48MP main unit with f/1.8 aperture. The primary sensor is topped with an 8MP F/2.4 ultrawide unit and a dedicated 2MP macro shooter with f/2.4 aperture. A 16 MP lone shooter handles the selfie front.
Battery and Pricing
Enjoy 20 is powered by a 5000 mAh battery with 10W fast charging. It will be available for sale by 10th September at a $250 price tag.
The Enjoy 20 Plus comes with a smaller 4200 mAh battery with 40W fast charging. Its base model will set users back by $335.
