CAA Pakistan Imposes a Massive Fine on Qatar Airways

Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has imposed a fine on Qatar Airlines. The decision comes after Qatar Airways had violated Coronavirus SOPs issued by the CAA, placing the health and safety of both the passengers and staff members at risk.

According to Abdul Sattar Khokhar, the spokesperson for the Aviation Division, the airline will pay a fine of Rs. 100,000 and also be responsible for all the expenses incurred on the testing of passengers and staff members for Coronavirus.

On the other hand, Qatar Airways is yet to issue an official statement over the violation of Coronavirus SOPs devised by the Pakistan government.

CAA had directed airlines operating flights to and from Pakistan to adhere to Coronavirus SOPs and guidelines to avoid both the passengers and staff members from contracting the deadly infection.
