In May this year, Xiaomi’s subsidiary Redmi launched three smartphones for the Note 9 series: Note 9s, Note 9, and the Note 9 Pro.
Now, keeping up with its tradition of expanding the already launched smartphone series, the company is planning to launch three new smartphones in the lineup. According to rumors, these handsets will launch in China only and are scheduled for mid-November. Yesterday, Digital Chat Station revealed that one of these new Redmi devices would feature a 108MP camera.

The same tipster revealed that the maxed-out model from the series will come with a top-center positioned punch-hole for the front camera while the toned-down model will feature a selfie camera cutout in the top-left corner.
He further revealed that the punch-hole cutout of Note 9’s base variant will be a bit large, measuring around 3.9mm in diameter and that the display will support a higher refresh rate.

Last month, a leaked shot of an upcoming Redmi phone surfaced on the internet which had similar specifications. Hence, there is a chance that it could be the impending Redmi Note 9.
The smartphone’s images revealed that the smartphone would come with 8 GB RAM, MIUI 12 based Android 10 OS, and a 2.4GHz octa-core processor. Moreover, the device could be powered by a Dimensity 800U chipset. Another leak suggested that the device will be equipped with a 48 MP triple camera system.
However, we are still unsure whether the smartphone is the upcoming Redmi Note 9 or another model. Watch this space for more on Redmi’s Note series.
