Coast Guards Report Pakistan’s Biggest Drug Bust of 2020

Pakistan Coast Guards have seized 751 kilograms of methamphetamine and heroin in Pasni, Balochistan.

A spokesperson for Coast Guards said that the confiscated drugs have a worth Rs. 20 billion in the international market, making this drug bust the country’s biggest in 2020.

According to details, the Coast Guards, on Monday, received a tip-off that a huge consignment of drugs is being smuggled to South Africa.

Acting on the tip-off, the Coast Guards immediately blocked all sea routes to foil the smuggling attempt and searched all departing boats for three days but to no avail.

However, earlier today, the Coast Guards unearthed 143 kilograms of meth and 608 kilograms of heroin stashed in mountains near the coastline in Pasni.

In September, Pakistan Coast Guards had confiscated 2,000 kilograms of narcotics worth Rs. 3 billion from Pasni as well.
