The well currently produces approximately 800 BPD of crude oil at 28/64” choke size with a Wellhead Flowing Pressure (WHFP) of 165 Psi.

Earlier in 2018, a crude oil discovery was made at the exploratory well Bolan East-1 in Balochistan. The well was successfully drilled to a depth of 1,500 meters and the hydrocarbon potential of Dunghan, Moro/MughalKot and Chiltan Formations was tested through the Drill Stem Tests.

Following the testing, the well was completed in the Chiltan formation but its production did not begin due to the non-acceptance of crude oil by local refineries because of its low API gravity.

After persistent follow-ups and negotiations with local refineries and the government, ARL agreed to start production from the Balochistan field.
