The University of Health Sciences (UHS), Lahore, has postponed all its examinations due to the resurgence of COVID-19 in Pakistan.
In a notification issued by its administration, the UHS stated that all the theory and practical examinations scheduled for 26 November to 24 December had been postponed indefinitely due to the rising number of coronavirus cases in the country. It added that this decision is in line with the instructions of the National Command and Operations Centre (NCOC).
The announcement came days after the Punjab University postponed its annual written examinations.
“In light of the current situation of COVID-19 and the conversion of all higher education institutions to the online mode by the Government of Pakistan, all written examinations have been postponed,” read the notification.
The examinations for BA/BSc and Associate Degree Parts 1 and 2, which had been scheduled to start from 26 November, have been deferred accordingly.
The Inter-Provincial Education Ministers Conference (IPEMC), on the recommendation of the NCOC, has already closed all educational institutions for one month starting November 26.
