Nokia Launches Purebook X14 With 10th Gen Core i5 For $800

Much like its major smartphone rivals, Nokia has also stepped into the laptop market with the Purebook X14. It is the company’s first notebook that weighs only a hair over 1 KG and is powered by 10th gen Intel Core i5 processors. These will be going for sale later this month.

The laptop has a 14-inch IPS display with 1080p resolution and slim side bezels. The backlit keyboard features adjustable brightness and has key travel of 1.4mm. There is also an HD webcam in the top bezel. Its magnesium alloy body weighs only 1.1KG, making it a travel-friendly laptop.

Internal specifications include the 10th gen Intel Core i5 10210U with UHD 620 integrated graphics. There is also 8GB of DDR4 RAM onboard alongside up to 512GB NVMe SSD. The Core i5 processor can reach a boost clock of 4.2GHz, but it is unclear whether there will be any different processor variants in the future.

The 46.7 WHr battery makes sure the laptop lasts through 8 hours of use and it also has support for 65W fast charging.

For connectivity, there are two USB A 3.1 ports, one USB A 2.0 port, and a single USB C 3.1 port. There is also an HDMI port, combined headphone and microphone input, and an ethernet port.

The Nokia Purebook X14 will go on sale later this month for $815.

  • ok how is this even Competing? I just very recently bought an HP Envy x360 laptop with intel’s 11th gen (Tiger Lake) core i7 1165g7 with 8gb RAM and 512gb NVMe SSD for $750 US dollars. Plus it also had a Thunderbolt 4 port AND a Touchscreen! so why the heck anyone in their right mind would buy this? Totally Unacceptble
