Lahore to Get 35,000 New Houses Under Naya Pakistan Program

Chief Minister (CM) Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar has announced to set up 35,000 new housing units in Lahore under the Naya Pakistan Housing Project with affordable installment plans.

Under the project, the Lahore Development Authority (LDA) will develop 10,240 housing units of 650 square feet, 12,384 units of 800 square feet, 7,800 apartments of 1,100 square feet, 3,360 houses of 1,500 square feet, and 1200 units of 2,200 square feet.

As per details, 4,000 green housing units worth Rs. 10 billion will be constructed in the first phase of the project, and the Naya Pakistan Housing Program will provide a subsidy of Rs. 0.3 million on each apartment.

As per the document shared in the tweet, the one-time cost of a 650 square feet flat will be around Rs. 2,700,000. The plot may be acquired with a downpayment of Rs. 270,000 in monthly installments of Rs. 15,950, payable up to twenty years.

Prime Minister Imran Khan will carry out the groundbreaking of the project on 25 December, following which the construction work on it will commence either in late December or early January.

The installment details of the other apartment categories will be updated when the government shares them.
