SBP’s Reserves Remain Stable on Weekly Basis

State Bank of Pakistan’s (SBP) reserves posted a minimal increase over a weekly basis, whereby they improved by $0.3 million in a week, according to the data released by the SBP.

On December 11, the foreign currency reserves held by the SBP were recorded at $13,298.8 million. This is up from $13.298.5 recorded on December 4.

Net reserves held by banks other than SBP have shown a decrease of approximately $23 million. They stood at $7,080.8 on December 11, as compared to $7,103.9 on December 4.

Overall liquid foreign currency reserves amounted to $20,379.6 million for SBP, which is down from $20,402.4 million recorded on December 4, owing to the decline in reserves held by banks other than SBP.
