91% Pakistanis Not in Favor of Getting US-Made COVID-19 Vaccine: Survey

According to a recent survey conducted by the Institute for Public Opinion Research (IPOR), 35% of Pakistanis are in favor of the China-made Coronavirus vaccine.

15% of Pakistanis want a government-approved COVID-19 vaccine while 14% prefer Pakistan-made vaccine and 9% back American vaccine for the viral infection.

Around 5% of Pakistanis favor the UK-made Coronavirus vaccine and 3% want the Russia-made vaccine while 2% back the Coronavirus vaccine introduced by Islamic countries.

When asked about receiving the Coronavirus vaccine, 56% of Pakistanis said they are ready to be administered the vaccine.

Meanwhile, 34% of Pakistanis answered that they would not receive Coronavirus, citing various conspiracy theories related to the vaccine to justify their decision.

Regarding the prevailing political scenario, 56% of Pakistanis advised the opposition to delay their public gatherings, rallies, and protests considering the perilous Coronavirus situation across the country.

Surprisingly, 23% of Pakistanis urged the multiparty alliance of PDM to continue organizing public gatherings, rallies, and protests despite the rising threat of Coronavirus in the country.

When asked about the incumbent government’s handling of the Coronavirus outbreak in Pakistan, 56% of Pakistanis expressed satisfaction over the measures taken by Prime Minister Imran Khan to contain the spread of the disease while 31% answered that the federal government did not take timely measures that allowed the viral infection to transmit all over Pakistan.
