CDD to Install Fire Hydrants in Shah Alam and Azam Cloth Market, Lahore

The Civil Defence Department (CDD) has decided to install fire hydrants on the water pipelines and guide the traders of the Shah Alam and Azam Cloth markets about preventing losses caused by the fires.

This decision was made in light of the massive fire in Hafeez Centre, Lahore, back in October.

A committee comprising the Civil Defence Chief Instructor, Shahbaz Rashid, and an instructor will assess the fire fighting facilities in both the markets.
