The Higher Education Commission (HEC) has alerted people to be wary of fake information being circulated about the department on social media.
The HEC took to Twitter to state:
Some fake images, with HEC social media handles, are circulating, carrying false information about HEC’s decisions and policies.

The tweet warned about unverified information and requested that people first ensure its authenticity from the commission’s official social accounts before spreading it.
It read:
“Please confirm/verify any such message/information from below-mentioned HEC accounts before further sharing it,” and was followed by links to its Facebook and Instagram pages.
