Passengers Get Mouth Ulcers After Eating 30kg Oranges to Save Baggage Fee

In a bizarre turn of events, four travelers are paying a heavy price for resorting to desperate but unusual measures to get around their extra baggage fee at an airport.

Following the incident that has now gone viral, and the four men are now suffering from mouth ulcers for eating 30 kg of oranges in one go.

As per reports, four travelers at the Kunming Airport in Southwest China’s Yunnan province had been carrying a huge box of oranges weighing 30 kg. The airport authorities had informed them that they would have to pay 300 yuan to take the box that exceeded the weight limit through the baggage clearance counter.

Unwilling to pay the extra money, the group resorted to eating the entire stock of fruit in the presence of astounding onlookers. Wang, one of the members of the group, spoke to a news outlet and said,

We just stood there and ate the whole thing up. It took about 20-30 minutes.

Unaware of the impending repercussions, the group took to social media to boast about their feat.

Many were bemused by the idea of bolting down 30 kilos of oranges in a single sitting simply to avoid paying a fee.

Following the accomplishment, the four passengers have developed mouth ulcers that might prevent them from a repeat of the incident in the near future.
