Xiaomi’s offshoot Black Shark is readying to launch its Snapdragon 888 powered gaming phone, the Black Shark 4, this month. Although the company has not revealed the device’s launch date yet, the teaser campaign has already started. Moreover, the handset was recently listed on TENAA and the Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technology certification website under the model SHARK KSR-A0 revealing its core specifications.
Both publications reveal that the phone will run Android 11. It is equipped with a 6.67-inch OLED display with Full HD+ (2400×1080) resolution and a 120 Hz refresh rate. It will come with a dual-cell 4500mAh battery system backed by 120W wired fast charging. According to a recent announcement by the company, Black Shark 4’s 4500 mAh battery takes less than 15 minutes to fill up, making it the fastest charging Black Shark phone. The company claims that the handset is customized with a high-efficiency charge pump that increases the charging efficiency up to 98.5% reducing heat loss. The dimensions of the smartphone are 163.83 × 76.35 × 10.3mm.
In other news, the ASUS ROG phone 5 was also listed on the TENAA and the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology certification website last week. In comparison with the Black Shark 4, it will come with a 6000mAh battery backed by 65W charging, a 6.78-inch AMOLED screen, and a 64 MP rear camera setup.
