Motorola Launches New G-Series Models With Quad Cameras & 5000 mAh Battery

After launching a couple of high-end smartphones with support for 5G and styluses, Motorola is back to launching new models in the mid-range G-series. The latest additions to the smartphone lineup are the Moto G30 and Moto G10. Both smartphones focus on a solid camera experience and long battery life.

The smartphones are pretty much alike specifications-wise. However, the G30 comes with certain upgrades.

Design and Display

Aesthetically, both smartphones come with a matte finish body, a rectangular camera bump, and a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. The only difference is that the Moto G10 comes with some extra detailing on the back.

Internals and Storage

Internally, the Moto G30 is powered by the Snapdragon 662 SoC topped with 4GB or 6GB of RAM and 128GB of built-in storage. It comes in single and dual-SIM versions and supports 4G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, and a variety of satellite positioning systems.

The Moto G10, on the other hand, comes with the Snapdragon 460 chipset which is just a down-clocked version of the 662. In terms of memory, it offers 4GB RAM and 64GB or 128 GB onboard storage.

The software front on both handsets is handled by Android 11.

Cameras

The Moto G30 is equipped with a quad-sensor camera setup with a 64 MP main sensor, an 8 MP ultra-wide-angle camera, a 2 MP macro cam, and a 2 MP depth sensor. The selfie camera is a 13 MP single sensor shooter.

The Moto G10 has a similar camera, except that the main sensor is replaced by a 48 MP sensor. For selfies, it is equipped with an 8 MP lone sensor.

Battery and Pricing

Both phones are backed by a 5000 mAh battery that, according to Motorola, can run the phone for two days. The battery supports 20W fast charging.

  • Seriously? 2000 mAh battery in a smartphone? Why don’t the writers proofread? Looks like ProPK’s standards are going downhill. So sad to see a decline of what used to be an awesome platform!
