PTA Directs Cellular Mobile Operators to Improve Quality of Service

Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has directed Cellular Mobile Operators (CMOs) to improve network coverage and performance and maintain Quality of Service (QoS) as per license standards.

In view of public complaints regarding degradation in service quality and results of PTA surveys, it was observed that lack of network expansion and insufficient network/sites are some of the causes of QoS issues. CMOs have been asked to take concrete measures for the resolution of root causes, ensure network stability and adequate coverage through the expansion of their networks, especially in densely populated urban areas.

PTA will review the steps taken by CMOs from time to time to check that improved voice and data services are being extended to the subscribers. Better coverage and service quality will ensure that end-user expectations for optimum performance are being met.

      • Hahaha good one I have been complaining to telenor for past 3 months still they haven’t resolved outgoing calls and text to all other operators shame on telenor.

  • Finally a step in the right direction. These Cellular companies keep on advertising 4G service but it’s limited to specific areas only. The trend of making the Customer pay for Customer Services should also be abolished.

  • Zong’s service in Karachi Central is deteriorating day by day. Despite complaining about service issues, problems are not being solved.

  • Last year zong was providing good service there was a good voice quality and good internet so my customer leave other network and come on zong network but now this is so bad network now is so much bad quality of call and also internet I too many time complain but is the same

  • موبائل کمپنیاں سارا پیسہ تو اشتہر بازی میں جھونک دیتی ہیں۔ انفراسٹرکچر پر کوئی دھیان نہیں۔ وقت گزرنے کے ساتھ سروس کا معیار خراب ہی ہوا ہے۔ جہاں پہلے سگنل کا مسئلہ نہیں تھا وہاں بھی اب ہے۔ شہر کے اندر گنجان آباد علاقوں میں کمروں کے اندر سگنل نہیں آتے ہیں۔
