Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has resumed flight operations on the Lahore-Islamabad route, and the first flight on this route will depart from Lahore on 8 March.
PK-650 will be the first PIA flight to take off from Allama Iqbal International Airport on Monday at 8:30 AM to mark the resumption of flight operations after two years of suspension.

The national airline has confirmed that the frequency of its flights on this route will be three trips a week, and the initially announced fare will be Rs. 6,848.
Earlier this week, PIA had announced discounted fares for flights between Karachi, Lahore, and Islamabad, with the objective to promote tourism in the spring.

A PIA spokesperson said that the new fares be effective immediately, adding that the discounted fares have been offered to facilitate tourists and nationals during the spring season.
