Chinese phone makers are always one step ahead of others when it comes to fast charging technology and Xiaomi means to uphold this reputation. The company is reportedly working on a 200W fast charging solution for wired charging, wireless charging, and reverse wireless charging on top of a 5,000 mAh battery.
The report comes from renowned tipster Digital Chat Station, who claims that the technology is set to debut during the second half of 2021. However, it sounds like something that would feature on the Mi 11 Ultra, which is launching earlier.
The Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra released last year as the fastest charging phone of 2020 with 120W fast charging. That phone is capable of charging from 0 to 100% in less than 30 minutes. So far, only a few other phones have been able to match up with Xiaomi’s 120W fast charging in 2021. This includes the Vivo iQOO 7, Nubia Red Magic 6 Pro, and a few others.
It only makes sense that its successor would become the fastest charging phone of 2021. That being said, there is little to nothing known about the Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra, but since last year’s model featured overkill specifications, we can expect the same from the Mi 11 Ultra.
We expect to hear more about the handset in the upcoming months. Stay tuned for updates.
