The Lahore Traffic Police has suspended the driving licenses of 68 motorists involved in traffic accidents on the orders of Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Syed Abdul Rahim as part of efforts to improve road safety and enforce traffic laws.
According to a traffic police spokesperson, the driving license of any motorist involved in a fatal or non fatal traffic accident will now be suspended immediately. Officials warned that anyone found driving with a suspended license will face legal action.
CTO Syed Abdul Rahim said drivers found guilty of irresponsible driving will have their licenses suspended for at least one year, while those involved in fatal accidents will face both license suspension and legal proceedings.
He emphasized that reckless driving will not be tolerated and said strict action will continue against traffic violators to protect the lives and property of citizens.
