Apple May Launch New iPads in April With M1-like Chips: Leak

Apple’s next generation of iPads have been seen in rumors plenty of times now and their launch may be closer than we think. This is if the latest report coming from “people with knowledge of the matter” is to be believed.

Apple is expected to unveil new iPad Pro models in April this year and we may also see the revamped iPad Minis. These iPad Minis are rumored to have smaller bezels than the iPad Air so they may join the Pros.

Previous reports claimed that the new iPad Pros will feature the A14 Bionic chip, but newer information suggests otherwise. The new tablets will reportedly feature a different unnamed chipset which will be on par with Apple’s M1 SoC on its latest MacBooks and Mac Mini.

The cameras on the iPad Pro will also see an improvement, but the size and design will stay the same. The bigger 12.9-inch variant will come with a Mini LED display with better color accuracy, contrast, brightness, and more.

The 2021 iPads will have Thunderbolt ports which will allow it to connect with external monitors, hard drives, and plenty of other peripherals while also being faster than standard USB C ports.

We expect to hear more on the iPad 2021 lineup before April. Stay tuned for updates.
