Govt to Provide High-Speed Internet Services at Tourist Spots

The Government of Pakistan has decided to provide basic telephony and high-speed internet services at tourist places, considering it one of the prerequisites to promote tourism in the country.

A proposal has been forwarded to the Universal Service Fund (USF) board to launch special projects that ensure the provision of fast internet service at tourist spots including Babusar Top, Saiful Malook Lake, and Kumrat Valley.

According to reports, USF’s board was advised by the IT Minister to provide internet connectivity at key spots.

  • Can the govt provide reliable high speed internet to its citizens in major cities first? I mean, I’m a freelancer and it’s really hard to work with crappy internet. Yet govt pays no heed to regular people and it’s gonna go invest a fortune in providing high speed internet in places where the ROI will be far lower than if they had provided that access to freelancers.

    • This government is one of the biggest enemy of Freelancers and all these idiots in the government have brain to think about the right things

  • The government should provide the basic facilities first I am a tourist I know these arias you cannot go there with out jeep there is no hospital even mobile signal no school nothing over leaders are nothing but a group of bloody idiots

  • Gilgit Baltistan is one of the famous tourist area in Pakistan but it still suffering from internet facilities.
Still we are using 2g and 3g
Time to take interest current govt
