Govt Yet to Issue Vaccination Cards Despite Mass Inoculation Drive

Despite vaccinating more than 30,000 people against Coronavirus, healthcare authorities in the federal capital have not yet issued COVID-19 vaccination cards.

According to District Health Officer (DHO) Islamabad, Dr. Zaeem Zia, the COVID-19 vaccination card will serve as a travel permit, allowing the holders to travel without restrictions and easily prove that they have been vaccinated against Coronavirus.

Pakistan Requests China for More Vaccine

Healthcare authorities in Punjab and Sindh have already been issuing vaccination cards to individuals who are being immunized against Coronavirus.

A COVID-19 vaccination card issued in Punjab carries the person’s credentials along with the vaccine’s name, its batch number, and the date of vaccination.

National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) will soon launch a portal from where people will be able to download vaccination cards after getting inoculated against COVID-19.

The portal will be integrated into the website of the National Immunization Management System (NIMS) from where vaccination cards will be downloaded by just entering CNIC numbers.

Pakistan Imposes Complete Travel Ban on Passengers From 12 Countries

Similarly, Saudi Arabia has also declared COVID-19 vaccination cards mandatory for Hajj and Umrah pilgrims.
